Int'nl Computer Driving Licence Launched at RPS

ICDL Logo This term sees the start of the teaching of International Computer Driving License lessons at Rhodes Park School. The ICDL is a comprehensive syllabus that encompasses many aspects of computer usage and skills. It has become the global standard in user computer skills, offering Candidates an internationally-recognised certification.

Rhodes Park School is glad to add the ICDL qualification to our curriculum. The ICDL program is made up of 7 modules:

1. Concepts of Information Technology (IT)	5. Database
2. Using the Computer and Managing Files	6. Presentation
3. Word Processing	7. Information and Communication
4. Spreadsheets

All pupils in Grade 10 to 12 will be taught. Each child will be required to pay examination fees to be entered for the examinations. There will be seven examination sessions for the seven modules to be written in Grade 10 and 11. They will write four in Grade 10 and three in Grade 11, to complete the course. Examination fees will be communicated to parents in advance. Further information about the ICDL can be obtained from the class teachers or ICT section.
